    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Mash the boiled lentils (dals) to a coarse paste.

      Add a little water.

      Stir.

      Heat oil in a pan.

      Toss in garlic and saute for a minute.

      Add the ground lentils, salt and pepper.

      Mix well.

      Add all the remaining ingredients except the spring onions.

      Mix well.

      Allow to simmer for 5 minutes.

      Add spring onions with leaves.

      Serve hot.
